This Eco Tourism Destination Cheeyappara Water Falls is on the Kochi- Madhurai ( madura / madhura ) Highway (NH-49), between Neriyamangalam & Adimali. (Around 15KM from neriyamangalam) in Idukki District. The Cheeyappara Waterfall cascades down ( from a hight of 1200ft ) in seven steps. It is a real feast for the eyes. This is also a great place for trekking .It is one of the most excellent waterfalls of Kerala.Cascading of the Water through the seven steps is very beautiful. It is an important tourist destination of idukki district. Not far from the Cheeyappara waterfalls lie the Valara waterfalls. These waterfalls lie in dense forests which houses several species of animals and birds. It is a chain of waterfalls in the Deviyar River that originates from Western Ghat.
